Kobolds are small lizard humanoids that live within the underworld. Occasionally they come to the surface of Draston, usually the Grasslands. They stand 2' to 3' and weigh 35lbs to 45lbs. They are covered from head to toe with red-gold scales. They have long claws-often filed down for better working- and two, small white horns protruding from their crocodile like heads.
These creatures,despite their scary appearance, are rather friendly. They love to strike up conversation, especially if it revolts around some new item that they have never seen before. Kobolds live and breathe to invent things. Some with find a new elven or human creation and take it apart to learn how it was created. They are curious beings and sometimes are regarded as crazy.
Kobolds live among the giant mushrooms and glow fungus of the underworld. There have been reports of a giant city of kobolds, but no actual proof.
Kobolds were one of the most successful of the Dragon Blood Experiments, which took place during the Age of Empires resulting in the creation of mutants and mutant genes.
